Description
Ajudga reptans âSilver Queenâ (Bugleweed) is an evergreen groundcover with striking foliage, well suited for part-to-full shade locations, rock gardens, and containers. The purple-blue flowers rise to 10″ and create a mass of color once the Ajuga is established. Simply mow with a high setting or string trimmer to tidy up and refresh the foliage when flowering is done. Best grown in compost-enriched well-drained soil, it will be happy with moderate moisture once established. âSilver Queenâ spreads by stolons to create an attractive dense mat of foliage. Spring blooming bulbs look beautiful paired with Ajuga. Native to Eurasia, this hardy groundcover is a low-maintenance, long-lived perennial.
