Description
Queen of the Night Black Tulip (Tulipa ‘Queen of the Night’) is an award-winning single late- blooming Tulip that sets the garden alight with its dark maroon-purple, almost black blooms. Considered the blackest Tulip ever bred, at 20-24″ tall this garden star is perfect along a border or mixed into a bed of spring flowers where it harmonizes with the bright colors of spring. It makes great cut flowers too, so plant plenty. Plant in a full sun spot in enriched, well-drained soil. Protect from pests if needed by planting with sharp gravel, or treat with anti-chewing remedies before planting. If deer are a problem, protect young shoots from browsing by covering with chicken wire, cloches, etc. Your efforts will be rewarded with unique pollinator favorites. 20-24″ tall x 4-6″ wide.
