Kintzley’s Ghost® is a rare heirloom native honeysuckle vine that has only recently been brought back into cultivation. Showy late spring flowers are followed by large, showy silver bracts that cover the plant all summer long.
Description
2006 Plant Select Winner 8-12′ tall x 3-5′ wide. With showy late spring yellow flowers followed by a summer-long display of large, bright silver bracts, Kintzley’s Ghost attracts a lot of attention. Originally propagated by William “Ped” Kintzley at the Iowa State University greenhouses in the 1880’s and passed along to family members, this heirloom plant was recently rediscovered growing in Ft. Collins, CO. Easily grown in most any soil in a part to full sun location.
