Description
6″ tall x 10-15″ wide. After many years of testing and selection, ‘Dark
Violet’ was finally introduced in 2013. This long-blooming native hybrid
Skullcap covers itself with a profusion of dark violet flowers held on
short compact flower spikes. Blooming most of the summer, its neat
mounding habit makes ‘Dark Violet’ a perfect choice to plant along the
edges of hot, sunny paths. The hotter and harsher the growing
conditions, the better it performs. Well-drained, low fertility soil.
Plant with Salvia greggii, Coreopsis, Lavender.
