Description
18-20“ tall x 4“ wide. Colorado Proud Triumph Tulip has purple flowers delicately brushed with ivory-white. Like a good painting, they attract admirers. A Triumph tulip, Colorado Proud is brightly colored and likes a sunny to light shade spot for best performance. Plant in compost–enriched, well-drained soil in groups of at least 3-5 for best appeal. Blooming in mid-spring, they look excellent along borders and in places where perennials are just returning. Like good dancers, tulips will take the stage and then give way as perennials advance. For bouquets, cut flowers when they are still in bud with tinted outer leaves for longest vase life. A spring pollinator favorite. Some gardeners plant allium and daffodils with their tulips to help deter pests.
